Dr Parminder Singh has undertaken extensive research in the field of hip preservation surgery, and is one of only a handful of Australian surgeons to have developed advanced instrumentation for Hip Arthroscopy and Joint Preservation surgery. This has led to him being involved in the development of the new generation of hip replacements which are now used worldwide.

He completed his Hip Arthroscopy and Anterior Muscle Sparing Total Hip Replacement Fellowship in Melbourne with the world’s leading hip arthroscopy orthopaedic surgeon Professor John O’Donnell, then returned to the UK where he finished his second fellowship in Hip Arthroscopy and Bone Conserving Hip Replacement Surgery at the Elective Orthopaedic Centre in Epsom under Dr Richard Field. He then migrated to Australia with his wife and two children and now consults at St Vincent’s Private East Melbourne, St Johns Hospital Forest Hill, Epworth Richmond Private, Epworth Eastern Private and Waverley Private Hospitals.

He is an active member of Hip Arthroscopy Australia and has presented at National and International Orthopaedic Scientific Meetings. He has also been an active Faculty member co-running instructional Hip arthroscopy courses for Orthopaedic Surgeons and Physiotherapists in Melbourne since 2009.
